PINA 2007 UPDATE

New PINA Executive Board 2005 - 2007

Bula vinaka from the Pacific Islands News Association (PINA) Secretariat in Suva, Fiji.

The PINA convention was held in Nuku'alofa, Tonga from November 15 -21, 2005. This was the first convention of the new merged organisation, PINA.

The new PINA has a new Executive Board after the elections during the first annual general meeting in Tonga on Monday.

To lead the new organisation as PINA president is Mr Ken Clark, Chief Executive of Fiji Television. Mr. Clark changes his role with Fiji Television on January first 2006. He will continue his present role as Chief Executive Officer for Media Niugini Limited (a Fiji TV Subsidiary), operators of EM TV in Papua New Guinea and he takes on the new role at Fiji TV as General Manager Commercial.

Elenoa Amanaki, the General Manager for Tonga Broadcasting Corporation is the new vice president and also holds the position of PINA treasurer.
